Wedding at Morningside Inn

December 1, 2017

Mike and Sarah’s wedding was held at a quaint little Inn in Frederick, Maryland called the Morningside Inn. I had been told numerous times how beautiful it was out in Frederick, but seeing those rolling hills with my own eyes confirmed it. The blue skies, and the fresh air on this autumn day was absolutely wonderful. I love photographing weddings in the District, but this wedding was good for the soul.

Mike and Sarah’s wedding was a lovely affair filled with so many personal touches. All of the calligraphy for the day was done by Sarah’s sister, her mother made the bridesmaids dresses, and each table was adorned with a teapot and books lovingly collected by Sarah herself. It was sweet to see the Chronicles of Narnia on the head table, as C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors, and fits into my love (or obsession) with Oxford, England. I didn’t realize though just how much Sarah loved Narnia, until the Pastor mentioned it during their ceremony, and it was brought up again during all of the speeches during the evening as well! Sarah, I get you girl.

Couples portraits were my favorite part of the day,  just seeing the way Mike looked at Sarah was the absolute sweetest.  The rolling green hills made for a stunning backdrop as we chased the sun before it set. Mike and Sarah, I wish you nothing but the best as you begin your new lives together.

Special shout out to Rebekah Emily Photography  has given me so many opportunities to second shoot with her this year. She literally has the sweetest couples, and I’m so happy I’ve been able to meet them too.
