Ft. Myer Officer’s Club Wedding

October 17, 2017

Dustin & Leslie’s beautiful, late August wedding, was full of sweet details.  The bridesmaids wore matching robes in the getting ready room. They toasted with personalized wine glasses, and carried florals arranged by the MOH’s grandmother. The veil was also very special, as it had been worn by several women in Leslie’s family. From beneath that veil, you could see Leslie smiling from ear to ear, as she and Dustin recited their wedding vows. While they spoke, they stood amidst the marble columns in St. Rita’s Catholic Church. They pledged their lives to one another, with God, and friends and family as their witnesses.

While Dustin and Leslie recognized the Sacrament of Marriage was the most important part of their day, they also threw an amazing party. The Ft. Myer Officers Club ballroom, was beautifully decorated with touches of navy, burgundy and champagne. During cocktail hour the guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres, and live piano music played by one of their dear friends.  The ballroom provided a lovely backdrop as “The Way You Look Tonight” came on, and Dustin and Leslie took to the dance floor. Their first dance was quite impressive, as they are really talented swing dancers. (seriously Dustin, I lost track of the number of times you dipped Leslie!) With a delicious cake, glorious music, and a packed dance floor for the rest of the evening, this truly was a splendid reception.

Dustin and Lelsie, Congratulations on the start of a beautiful life together. I am so honored I was able to be a part of your wedding day. I hope you have the best time on your honeymoon!
