Last week I had the pleasure of shooting the most gorgeous sunrise session at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC. For starters the Thomas Jefferson Memorial is among my favorites downtown. Whenever I am having a bad day, or a good day even, I like to go to the tidal basin and walk around. It’s my happy place. I’ve always wanted to do a session at the Jefferson, so I was thrilled when Taylor and Ben jumped on board with the idea. These two met a Young Life retreat as teenagers, and stayed in touch with each other despite Taylor’s move. When she came back to visit they went on their first date. They have been together for ten years, and are celebrating three years of marriage this August. They are seriously the sweetest couple. Last week we met at sunrise, and had the best time. We had to navigate a few other sessions, and runners, but for the most part we had the Thomas Jefferson Memorial to ourselves. Those gorgeous columns, and the beautiful bouquet by love blooms made this session one of my all time favorites. I hope you all enjoy, and Ben and Taylor, Happy Anniversary!
